Are You a Pee Spot?

A man sits in a trash-filled apartment surrounded by packaging, food waste, and clutter, with smokestacks visible through the window.

There’s a lot of attention on climate change and environmental destruction these days. To the degree that this attention identifies actual problems and advances workable solutions, that’s wonderful.

However, a lot of the climate change agenda is the result of indoctrination and virtue signaling—railing against something without really understanding it. Looking at someone who is noisily advancing a “climate change” agenda, you might wonder, “Is this person actually contributing anything of value to himself, his close associates, his country, humanity, the environment, etc.?”

There are a fair number of people these days who aren’t really doing very much. They sit at home, watch TV, hang out on social media, play video games, watch porn, etc.

AND—while doing this, they consume lots of food and other consumer goods, generate household waste, septic waste, etc. And that’s if they don’t travel or drive a car.

Basically, they eat, shit, talk, watch porn, belch exhaust into the atmosphere, and generate piles of garbage. Taken as a whole, their net effect on the planet is that of a consumer of resources and a generator of waste. Yet these are frequently the same people who go out and protest about “climate change.”

Attitudes and pronunciamentos¹ to the contrary, their existence boils down to nothing more or less than a pee spot on the face of the Earth.

Don’t be a pee spot. Find something genuinely useful to do and do it. And know that “doing something useful” doesn’t mean spending your time stopping somebody else from doing something you consider bad—it means doing something constructive yourself.

People work together in a neighborhood garden, planting, building, and cleaning up as a bag of collected trash and unused protest signs sit nearby.

If enough people stop being destructive, in ways small and large, and put their energy into constructive activities instead, the destructive tendencies of humanity will gradually be overwhelmed by constructive activity.
